Her background in administration allows her to guide patients through their care with patience, compassion, and clear communication. She is always eager to advocate for our patients and find ways to help them with their insurance. She enjoys helping out wherever she is needed, whether it be assisting with treatment, office administration, marketing, education, or reception. As a treatment coordinator and dental assistant, Jami enjoys helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental experience. Jami lives for every opportunity to enjoy life on the farm and spend quality time with her family. Her little boy has four legs, is her pride and joy, and has her wrapped around every one of his paws, capturing her whole heart. Jami truly enjoys the heart of Iowa and is a full-blooded Cy-Hawk.

Ames dental team member - Heather

Heather

Heather’s background in child and family services inspires her passion for patient education and helping individuals take an active role in their oral health. She has served in all aspects of our dental practice, but currently plays a vital role as Dr. Amie’s dental assistant. Heather finds satisfaction in attention to detail and loves being able to offer you greater comfort with a paraffin hand dip, a warm blanket, or a neck pillow. Her goal is to help every patient feel relaxed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit. Heather enjoys attending ISU events, baking, music, and spending time with family.

Ames dental team member - Danielle

Danielle

Danielle is our most recent addition to the team. She has been in the dental field since 2012 and graduated from Marshalltown Community College with a focus in dental assisting. Danielle is dedicated to helping patients feel welcomed, supported, and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Danielle lives in a small town with her boyfriend, Blake, and two very spoiled dogs, Pixie and Remi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching football, reading, and watching movies. She loves to travel and hopes to visit Hawaii and Europe someday.

Ames dental team member - Morgan

Morgan

Morgan is a graduate of Iowa State with a Bachelor of Science in software engineering and psychology. Prior to pursuing software and psychology, she had an interest in dentistry, which was further amplified when Dr. Amie restored her smile in 2010. Having experienced her own smile transformation, Morgan is passionate about helping patients feel confident and proud of their smiles. Now, Morgan is exploring the dental field she has been wanting to pursue since she was younger, where she is currently our hygiene coordinator and tech assistant. When Morgan is not at the office, she loves spending time with her friends, cooking up new recipes, or playing board games.

Ames dental team member - Kari

Kari

Kari initially joined Dr. Amie as a dental assistant in 2009 and later returned to school to become a dental hygienist, graduating from DMACC in 2012. Her passion for helping patients achieve better oral health inspired her to continue advancing her education and clinical knowledge. She pursued and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene in 2022 from Minnesota State University. Currently, she is working on her Master’s degree at the University of New Mexico. When she is not at the office caring for her patients, she is working at DMACC, helping educate the next generation of dental hygienists while continuing to provide exceptional care for her patients. Kari has a husband and two daughters and spends her weekends at the basketball courts.

Anna

Anna knew at a young age that she wanted to help people. She developed a passion for dental care throughout her college years, empathizing with others who were suffering from pain and anxiety due to her own history of oral surgeries. Anna believes that building trust and helping patients feel comfortable is just as important as providing exceptional preventive dental care. Anna enjoys caring for her two kids and two cats, and she loves cooking and teaching them how to improve and thrive. She enjoys exploring and trying new activities, such as handling her own motorcycle, hiking, and horseback riding.

I have been going to Ames Center For Cosmetic & Family Dentistry for many years. Since the first visit, the quality of care and compassion is truly evident. Dr. Amie and her team are seriously the best! The reception staff are always so friendly and very helpful. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful team be apart of my care. In addition to routine cleanings, Dr. Amie was able to help me when one of my bonded retainers started becoming loose. They always go above and beyond for their patients. I would highly recommend this place for anyone needing dental care, you will be in the best hands. Thank you for all you do!

Great staff, friendly, knowledgeable.
Efficient. Today Anna helped me get my Invisalign checkup at same time as my cleaning so I could skip a month off check-ins, especially helpful since I planned to be out of state. I didn’t bring it up though. She noticed it when looking to book my next appt and suggested it to Amie. Amie was able to work that into her day and I still had time for a paraffin wax for my hands. Very friendly staff who work together as a team and make sure you know your plan and what to expect at future appts. Thank you all for the great care!!

I always enjoy going into the office. EVERYONE is so nice. I learned about Dr. Amie because I needed an appliance made for my sleep apnea; which is far better than putting one of those apparatuses around my head and having air forced down my nose. The appliance is by far, a better choice. Dr. Amie knows her stuff. She has been great through the whole process and it is working well.
